The cornerstone of our new construction line is the ProFinish Double Hung. Its beveled exterior, combined with its miter-cut welded frame, ensures the squareness of the frame and provides structural integrity. In addition, the triple-chambered compound-cut sill increases the structural stability because it helps to reduce the potential of a bowed sill. The 10 degree slope also provides quick water drainage even in driving rains.

The integral J-channel configuration on the window frame is a major benefit during installation because it eliminates on-site contractor preparation time. The 1-3/4" nailing fin is 1/2" longer than conventional units. This fin extends past the exterior J-channel leg by 1-1/4", preventing damage to the exterior leg during installation.

The 3/32" thick exterior leg of the J-channel ensures durability when exposed to harsh weather conditions and it is an extra 1/8" longer than conventional units to help hide uneven siding edges. And the 3/4" distance between the J-channel leg and the nailing fin gives more flexibility when using wood or vinyl sidings. The exterior J-channel leg can be easily removed when finishing the exterior with brick or stucco.

In addition, the ProFinsh Double Hung offers a sill dam weather-stripping to protect against air and water infiltration and a 1/2" stainless steel constant force coil spring balance system which ensures trouble-free operation of the sash. A uniquely designed pivot bar provides exact alignment of the frame to the sash ensuring a perfectly square unit for easy and accurate installation.

All sash used in the ProFinish line feature welded construction and a host of other attributes for added strength and stability. Choose from a wide variety of standard sizes, or for a small additional charge, your windows can be built to your specifications. The ProFinish line also offers versatility. You decide what optional design features best complement your home. For example, brass and sculptured grids as well as brass hardware are available options for a truly upscale look. Also offered are shadow bevel-cut glass, Azurlite®, tinted, obscure, or Low E/Argon-filled glass to further enhance your home's decor and thermal efficiency.
